| Grow India is an effort by you and Remit2India to bring sustainable development to the underdeveloped areas of India. The project will work towards enhancing the overall development and quality of life of people in the regions by equipping the entire village with livelihood opportunities, empowering the local communities through leadership development and community participation. We plan to work against gender inequality by capacity building of mothers and Self Help Groups (SHG's). The strategy is to have a sustainable development in these underdeveloped villages that will be monitored by the local governance community ensuring the well being of children and communities. |

Area |
The selected villages Kulungana and Khurd are in the Melghat region, they are amongst the most underdeveloped regions of India. Absence of consistent and diversified livelihood and ineffective and inactive Community Based Organizations (CBO's) and civil society form the crux of underdevelopment in these areas. The areas suffer from serious malnutrition issues, inadequate water supply, educational backwardness and are in dire need of infrastructure and health resources.
The government has made various efforts for upliftment of these areas but could not sustain due to lack of proper implementation, awareness and guidance. As there are few means of livelihood all year long the areas witness seasonal migration. The villages are in remote locations and do not have basic medical facilities. Supporting these 2 villages is the 1st step for us going forward we plan to include many more villages under Grow India.
Ten villages in Noida district of Uttar Pradesh, namely Kakrala, Bhooda, Begampur, Surajpur, Nagla, Gejha, Aager, Sultanpur, Sahpur and Hazipur, have also been added under the Grow India program and will be covered by mobile medical units for providing basic healthcare services at the doorstep. |

Plan |
Grow India plans to work on the principal of 3 E's Educate - Empower - Evolve.
The basis of this ideology is to create sustainable development models. The primary focus will be on creating educational and livelihood facilities. We will work towards improving the infrastructure of the schools alongside providing vocational education to facilitate the next generation to have diversified earning capabilities. We also believe that sustainability is only possible by empowering the community. For this purpose we will ensure the participation of community in all the developmental programs. |
