Do I have to register separately for Billpay2India?

Yes you have to do a one time registration for Billpay2India. Registration is a simple one time process where you have to confirm certain basic details like Name, Email Id,Contact Number.

What are the different biller categories?

There are 2 categories of billers available:

Presentment type: For these billers you have to do a one time registration by doing a one time addition. Once the registration is complete you will get a confirmation from us. Payments to such billers cannot be made immediately after registering for them, it usually takes 3-4 weeks after the date of registration for your bill to be presented online.

Payment type: For these billers you can make the payments immediately after registering for them. The bills for these billers are not presented online and you can choose to pay any amount as desired by you. You need to check the exact bill amount from the physical copy of the Bill.

How do I register for a biller?

Click on "Add Biller" and choose the City in which the biller is located. Then select the utility for which you want to make the payment. You will be shown a list of Billers for that utility. Enter the account details for that biller and confirm .You will get a confirmation message on successful registration. In case the registration is unsuccessful due to wrong account details you can delete the biller and add it again using the correct account details. For non presentment billers you can make the payment without having to wait for the registration confirmation.

How do I view the bill details for my Bills?

Once you have added a biller your bill details will be presented to you from the next billing cycle which is usually around 3-4 Weeks. You can view the bill details in the view Bill details link. Bill details for Non presentment billers billers will not be available.

How will I know when a new Bill is due for payment?

You will get to see all presented bills under the dashboard section, a automailer alert will also be sent to you as soon as a bill is presented.

How do I make a payment for my Bills?

Click on make a payment link. You will get to see all bills which are due for payment.For payment of Bills in non presentment mode you will have to enter the amount and confirm since bill details are not present.

When do I have to make a payment for the bill?

For Presentment Bills you have to make a payment atleast 7 working days before the Bill due date(excluding Bank Holidays), for non presentment bills you can make your pay anytime since the bill details are not presented.

Where can I see the payment status of my bills?

You can check your bill status against each bill by clicking on the View Details link against each Bill. You can also check the status of the payment in the Status Tracker against each transaction reference number. You will also receive a automailer alert once the bill is paid.
