The Times Group is the largest and most professionally managed media conglomerate in India. The focus area for the Times Foundation is to create an enabling environment for development; and the range of services includes advocacy and analysis, partnership building, promotion of strategic framework and support for the implementation of comprehensive programs for development. It provides a forum comprising NGOs, corporate, government, multi and bi-lateral organisations, area experts and beneficiaries both national and international to strengthen the social cause through interactions of all the stakeholders in their respective thematic issues.
The Times Foundation Network , the first of its kind, has a two fold objective. Firstly, it aims to unite NGOs under a collective umbrella to enable them to emerge as a more formidable force. Secondly, it allows social development to permeate beyond the framework of NGOs to the purview of society at large whereby corporations and citizens are sensitized towards their social responsibilities. Times Foundation is a powerful enabler of development goals because its unique characteristics dramatically improve communication and the exchange of information to strengthen and create new economic and social networks.
